One of my other very favorite bands is Rush (I'm more of a Permanent Waves and up guy). Given that, I was looking forward to Geddy Lee's autobiography released last week.
It's a great book, finished it last night. A handful of BOC references, but usually just in a mention of bands Rush opened for on a particular tour. There was one mention of a show in Pittsburgh where there were a ton of arena issues so Rush only had time to do two songs.
Geddy said they learned a lot opening for Kiss, with their attention to detail and extravagant stage shows. He enjoyed playing with my other favorite, UFO, as Pete Way in particular was a lot of fun. And they didn't appreciate opening for Aerosmith.
Any particular Rush memories, Buck? Bands you liked - or didn't like - being paired with?
More importantly - think you have a book in you? :-)

Looking forward to reading this over the holiday weekend. Except for BOC, Rush has been the band I've seen the most. Starting with my first BOC show at the Capitol Theater in Port Chester, NY in 1975 where Rush opened for BOC. Have a great Thanksgiving everyone!

I was just toying with the idea of downloading the audiobook version, which has Geddy reading it himself, plus Alex Lifeson also (obviously came to late to include Neil)... I probably will DL to see what it's like (btw: here's the info hash, if anyone's interested: 3ccf8ebbc5572b7cf130db4768f8c917e066009d)...

For those who haven't seen it, check out the Geddy Lee episode of The Big Interview with Dan Rather. He chronicles his life with some great detail and wow does he have a amazing Baseball collection.

My copy is on the way. Working on a book by Colin Hart right now. Tour manager for Deep Purple and Rainbow. Some BOC references in there as well.
