never seen our Master with that guitar. apparntly mid-70's. Buck, do you remember something about it? was that a one-time rented spare or a short time endorsement, perhaps?

I don't think that guitar was mine. I borrowed it or was trying it out. I don't have a memory of where it came from or who made it. Looks like a variation on a double cut Les Paul Junior. I vaguely recall it was pretty heavy tho, not like a Junior.

Looking at the banners in the background, I'd say maybe late 1975 or so...

My first electric was a Dean Les Paul copy and it weighed a lot but still not as much as the actual Gibson’s I’ve held. But I also have godawful posture and I’m only 5’4’’ so that doesn’t help lol

Give me a Les Paul or SG and I'm ok. I am amazed at players that can switch to completely different guitars on stage like Joe Walsh. I saw the Stones one time and Ron Wood played a different guitar on every song. Incredible.

Buck, It’s great to see that you recall and answer to us on these questions we also. Thx …

The guitar does look heavy, and does not exactly look natural for Buck. So happy that Buck stays true to what he prefers! 🥰

I just picked up a Sterling Albert Lee (it’s the sort of budget version of what Richie has) by trading my five string bass for it. Richie is right this guitar is extremely comfortable to play. The tonal variety is very nice although the volume drop off is pretty considerable in the coil split settings because the humbuckers are very high output. I might replace those eventually. It’s also very lightweight so I’m thrilled with that.

Vet bills this last year put a crimp in my woodworking tool and supplies budget Aww...you'll get there...just don't give up! I know life has a way of derailing all our best laid plans. I sure struggled finding time to restore my Dad's banjo but when I finally finished...it was almost like a new family member was born! The look on my Dad's face when I gave it to him was priceless...and now it's a treasured family heirloom (my Dad passed in 2019). I could only imagine the pride one would feel building one from scratch. I know you'll do it! We'll be waiting for the reveal thread!!!
