Great news ! "Showtime" is missing Too bad. The version posted by G.G was really great. We need a Volume II… If you go to the BOC FAQ on Ralph's site, you'll see plenty of other songs demo'ed by all band members that wound up on different releases or never made the/any cut (including the ones that made it to Ghost Stories). As professionals, they have a higher standard than just the fans, so what we might find acceptable for consumption or release they might not; perhaps Ghost Stories reflects the ones that meet their standard(s). I still find it odd that the album just literally dropped out of the sky; perhaps Frontiers wanted the contract satisfied and be done with it all. Not a bad parting shot however...

Ghost Stories featured in the Entertainment section of CNN's website: "The lost music of Blue Öyster Cult Eric Bloom and Buck Dharma talk with Rick Damigella about releasing an album of previously lost tracks, dating back to the 70's and 80's" It wouldn't let me directly link to the video.

Way cool! That would get someone's attention in a record store - if you could find one........
So do you have a turntable to play it on? I remember you saying in some interview that you didn't have one
[being on Windows the heic file threw me for a loop for a couple minutes until I hacked something up ]

Album is looking good Buck, But… the framed album on the wall behind you is absolutely AWESOME… I had done something similar but didn’t like my work so pitched that idea… I think I’ll do that to my two I have!! Love it..

This album makes me wish BOC had done more funk, soul, & R&B lol
The Only Thing and Soul Jive are album highlights in that record.
Really love Money Machine as well. And Don’t Come Running has grown on me a LOT. it makes me think of Survivor (a band I like but I understand it isn’t everybody’s taste).
Lastly, Allen is such a PRESENCE on this album. I love it.

I'm delighted - an excellent album, with the magic, freshness, youth and harmony of the original line-up! In short, an excellent album. Obviously, you can prefer one track or another, but frankly, I didn't expect it to be this good! Really great! Thanks boc. The tracks are a bit short, and we'd like to see more on the album (Show Time etc...) but we won't spoil the fun!

it's actually better than what I expected. (and Ocean is right. Allen's presence is tangible and is, as far as I'm concerned, the high point of this record) now, let's hear all the Red Box tapes ! please ?
