"The End of Blue Oyster Cult" is turning into a fish story 🐟 --> 🐠. The Blabbermouth article said ".....BLUE ÖYSTER CULT Bid Farewell To Their Recording Career...." Now an iHeart radio station page says "...But like all good things, their careers are coming to an end....." Not recording career, just career, period. And there source reference was the Blabbermouth article. I guess BÖC totally dissolving would be the next round of alternative facts.

Chicago has always been a great place for the band. 👍🤓 Des Plaines Theatre looks good! So does Sydney Australia

For the US, mark up a map showing all the performance locations from last year. Cross those general areas, mileage based, off the list. Then fill in last years gap areas spread out geographically.
Essentially a "heat map".

Des Plaines Theatre looks good! So does Sydney Australia Having seen BOC in Sydney Australia (which I think may be the first rendition of the Cities double ending), I quite agree. Getting there is another thing. I don't have the FF mileage I used to have (I ain't flying coach that far) and it's on United - just because you're in business class doesn't mean you can't get sucked out the plane when the door pops out at 38,000 feet.

The thing about Ghost Stories is, where's Gene Frenkel?

Gene's memory will haunt me as long as I live. You and Christopher Walken. Yeah I've got to believe that Christopher Walken hates the cowbell sketch a lot more than BOC! Talk about typecast....when it's an SNL skit that you are forever known for with seemingly no way out...damn that's gotta hurt. BOC had "Curse", "Symbol" and now "Ghost Stories" plus an impressive live/touring career that goes on to this day....all after cowbell. What's Chris had since cowbell? Nothing that stopped people from calling him Bruce, asking for more cowbell etc....poor guy has to be haunted!

The Super Bowl BMW ad with Christopher Walken was clever and wonderful. I DID notice the total avoidance of anything anywhere near the cowbell!

I would't be surprised if the banishment of the reference came early in the planning of that commercial. Or that anyone dealing with Walken professionally is instructed NOT to mention cowbell? The elephant not in the room.

It's funny to me that I immediately think of Will Ferrell and not Walken. Was never a big fan of that SNL era so I didn't watch much. It was kind of my introduction to him and even tho I'm sick of it, it still cracks me up.
