The Amazon Fairy braved the weather and left this on my soggy staircase. Being an old man, I have NO idea. clue, hint or guess as to the meaning of this sticker, but I did find it quasi-photogenic. Also, I still like the album art. S.I.A.E. (Società Italiana degli Autori ed Editori, "Italian Society of Authors and Publishers") is the Italian equivalent of ASCAP and BMI. they not only collect publishing rights but also a basic tax on the selling of CDs, LPs, DVDs and other supports - and books alike (also releases permisson for concerts and any kind of public entertainment, such as movies and theatre pieces). without their official sticker, any release in Italy is meant to be either a bootleg or counterfeit. needless to say, I always hated it, especially when I find it stuck on a beautiful cardboard sleeve or vinyl replica

My CD was supposed to be here yesterday, so I caved in and finally got to play the whole thing earlier today. The Alchemist is my early favorite, maybe based on the video, maybe due to the twin guitar assault. A BOC album, the diversity of the songs is as expected. Saw a video including the booklet, it will be the first one I look at in a long time. Screw the reviewers who want to silence Richie. Tainted Blood rocks, and I am sure it will be better live-if that ever happens. Infections going up in the NY Metro area(Fairfield County here), both my wife and I cannot afford to catch it.

Stay safe follow the protocols. I'd say there's a decent chance of a viable vaccine and conclusion to this hopefully by next summer.

Finally...heard sides A and B this AM with the vinyl/ headphone combo....then the weekend company staying here got up. So fun.
Really happy with what Ive heard so far. Great blend of broad styles of songs while remaining true to the BOC framework. Well done !
One comment for now....Train True ....very surprising and unexpected in a very good way. Certainly not dead center on the BOC framework for sure but dancing on the edge in a really fun and fresh way. I am thrilled to see this band still mixing up styles and not being pigeon hole’d....as always...and why we love them.
Easy to see why the reviews have been strong.

Listened to C and D sides ! First listen I’d say its a strong BOC record for sure. Some really strong songs. That Was Me is great and a perfect opener IMO. Tainted Blood is great. Someone said Styx-ish sound...Id say true in a good way....(Styx fan here)...but with the patented BOC gloom. Well done. Edge Of The World..love it. Great vocals throughout. The Machine...cool to hear RC step out. Great vocals and as with the whole album Jules and the drums sound great. St Cecelia...foot tapping rocker..great. Stand and Fight...same thing..strong..great vocals EB. Florida Man...BOC’s twisted rocking humor and great tone. Secret Road...its evolved since hearing it played live and I like it a lot. Overall very solid record. Nice package. Glad to see lyrics on the cover. The crystal LP looks very cool on the turntable BTW. Looking forward to hearing it some more...and eventually live. Again, Easy to see why the reviews have been very positive. Really happy to see BOC getting fresh and positive press. What a year (or 5) to be a BOC fan. Thanks BD.

After a few more listens, Jules' drumming and the production on the drums might be the underated Mvp on the record. Loving the sound and mix that was achieved.

I agree too, that Jules' drum work is topnotch,. The production is crisp and clean without being clinical and overly bright.
If I was going to throw in one nit to pick, it would be to turn up the keys just a tad.

My only nitpick is that there is so much greatness going on that it’s hard to give everything the attention that it deserves.

He is the second best drummer this band has ever had behind only Albert. All due respect and love to Rick, Chuck, Bobby, etc. His drumming is one of my favorite aspects of this album and quite honestly really helps tie it all together. I like his instincts, too. Nothing is rote and there is a great groove to everything.

Jules did great on this record, and in the band overall. A hat tip to TLA, who gets a great drum sound in his mixes. We couldn't have done as well ourselves.
