Listening to the two new tracks released plus the samples for the rest on iTunes, I'm pretty sure I'm going to love this record.
Richie's vocals have a Joe Bouchard kinda vibe that has been sorely missed, and I love Return of St. Secilia.
Train True is just FUN. It's got that vibe from the breakdowns in Before the Kiss, a Redcap, but sounds nothing like it all the same. Truly original
There's a Crime, the drumming, Richie's lead-in to Buck's solo, Buck's solo. Damn.
Not a weak point in the bunch for me. I get a bit of a Spectres vibe from Tainted Blood with the whole immortality, vampire thing.
Buck's vocals in Nightmare Epiphany, Florida Man, Train Tree, Fight, etc. are top notch. Eric kills it The Alchemist and There's a Crime for sure.
I love the crunchy and nasty heaviness of Stand and Fight, too.
When I get this album I am going to spin it incessantly.

Totally agree, with everything you said!

Nice comments from loudwire:
"That Was Me" fires out of the gate with a sinister sounding guitar line that really drives the music and feeds the idea of a force impacting action. Meanwhile, "Box in My Head" still rocks, but has a more melodic feel to it, inviting the listener to come closer and take a look at the person behind the song.

Hmm, I'm with eastmark, not sure how I feel about samples. Will decide when I get home.

Got 2 LPs ordered yesterday. Now the colored LP stuff comes out...bought a crystal colored LP. Id better just wait to first listen when the first vinyl shows up now or feel very guilty. 🎸

These were good songs to release together showing and Yin Yang aspects of the band. It was me sounds like a continuation of where Career of Evil left off

I think that was my comment on the bocfans forum. It remeinded me of the pride of evil or a person as a forceof nature, such as Career of Evil, Harvester of Eyes, I Am The Storm, I Am the One You Warned Me Of, etc. I'm loving it.

First impressions:
Box is pure top-down pop genius.
That was Me has a See You in Black vibe. Not sure how I feel about the reggae break.
Danny and Jules are both locked in.
