"And he bade me take my pick." Right the first time Ocean.

Randy Jackson played essentially the bass part I wrote for "Shooting Shark," although he put his mark and feel on it, and of course did all the cool fills and turnarounds. We were lucky to have him. He was doing lots of sessions in SF at the time, before he joined Journey, and of course American Idol.

The line is: "So I lay back with a steel chain. I keep it by my side.." "And he bade me take my pick." Right the first time Ocean. The lyric sites must just have somebody listen to the track and transcribe as best they can. Not too close there. Lyrics by Patti Smith on "Shark." Ya know, over the years I have heard that song a thousand times and I originally *thought* it said "steel chain" but I couldn't make sense of it. Hell, I even asked you about it at the Coach House one night after a gig in the late 80s lol...but we were into the Scotch, I think. As for the "bade," I picked that one out right away and always thought it was super kewl. Thanks for setting me straight once and for good. Absolutely my favorite track on that record, and a Top 5 overall.

I'm attracted to Sweet Jane.
There are some very cool playlists associated with the different fragrances. "Can" !!!
I do think Buck should get a commission from the company name. Or at least a free sample or three.

Worst Misheard Lyric award goes to my brother who thought the lyric to Power Underneath Despair was "There's a power underneath this hair".

"The Members Only lackey, with the stinking cologne." -BOC "Madness to the Method." That's a Dick Trismen lyric, but I wrote that particular line. I was reminded of "Members Only" clothing watching the last episode of "The Sopranos." The guy who goes to the men's room in the diner, who you think is probably the assassin who'll shoot Tony and maybe his family, has a jacket that would fit the bill. Another Club Ninja lyric question: Spy in the House of the Night, “I’ve made love in halls, I fell in love with (malls?), I live to love you in the dark” What’s your final answer?

Meanwhile I'm more wondering the meaning of this lyric: It's a hormone war zone, boys are out for a fight Wenches in the trenches on a Saturday night Stick it here, stick it there, get it out of sight It's the time of the season for the nasty things at night Hahahahahha
