Okay, Iron Maiden has a lot of live releases over the last several years, but this one I believe may be their best since Death on the Road. The tracklist is monumentally unique for their live releases. It still has the usual suspects on the second disc, but the true substance are the surprising number of unique tracks to this one like For the Greater Good of God, Where Eagles Dare, and others. This is the first time I've been excited to buy an Iron Maiden live album in years. Flight 666 was a good one for me because I was at one of the shows they recorded for that. But the few they've released since then have very similar track lists and there really isn't much unique about them to me. This one is different. I am buying this one day one!
The tracklist from the link:
1. Churchill’s Speech
2. Aces High
3. Where Eagles Dare
4. 2 Minutes To Midnight
5. The Clansman
6. The Trooper
7. Revelations
8. For The Greater Good Of God
9. The Wicker Man
10. Sign Of The Cross
11. Flight Of Icarus
12. Fear Of The Dark
13. Iron Maiden
14. The Number Of The Beast
15. The Evil That Men Do
16. Hallowed Be Thy Name
17. Run To The Hills
I know they can't release a live album without Run to the Hills and Hallowed Be Thy Name, so I don't mind that kind of stuff. The Boys haven't put out a live release since Agents of Fortune without DFTR so I get it. But LOOK at that set list! Where Eagles Dare, The Clansman, Revelations, For the Greater Good of God, Sign of the Cross, Flight of Icarus, The Evil That Men Do! Several they've never released official live versions of OR that haven't been on a live album in decades.
I am legitimately EXCITED. I regularly spin the combo A Real Live Dead One was well as Death on the Road. This release might be up there with those for me.
