I’d say Curse. I was not able to get into it as much as any other. I was down to clown with Ninja when it came out. Never heard it. After hearing Club Ninja I lost interest. Was even disappointed with the album cover...just seemed cheesy.

I used to listen to 'Going Mobile' on my Walkman when I was in the helicopters. I always thought "My Wife" was hilarious. Any guy can relate. My band used to cover that one. One of two songs I sang lead on lol. We also did The Seeker which was our bassist's only lead vocal in our set. They aren't my favorite band, but I do love them and covers of their songs get HUGE responses.

I love Curse. Aside from I Just Like to be Bad, I really love it a lot. One Step Ahead of the Devil is a shining hallmark of everybody's skills, Old Gods, Out of the Darkness, and especially Eye of the Hurricane are great Eric songs. I even really like Good to Feel Hungry (love the 5|4 groove and the keyboards). Buck's songs are pretty spectacular even though he's only got 4 on this one. Something about his solo in Pocket reminds me of Elliot Easton's playing. It's a very "deliberate" solo. Very composed. Showtime is nifty. And even I Just Like to be Bad is only bad lyrically; the actual music itself is interesting and pretty unique (love Allen's piano at the beginning).
If I were forced to choose I'd say Club Ninja is the least good I suppose. The Bob Halligan songs are pretty bad. Knowing he wrote Some Heads Are Gonna Roll for Judas Priest makes these songs make sense. When the War Comes isn't bad but it's very poorly mixed and isn't all that interesting to me. But the rest of the album kicks ass to me: White Flags, Dancin, Perfect Water, Spy in the House of Night, Shadow Warrior, Madness to the Method.
It's why I became a superfan at like 14 in the first place. Unlike most bands, I don't think they've released an album without good stuff on it. I love Aerosmith but Night in the Ruts and Rock in a Hard Place are godawful. I love the Rolling Stones but almost all of their 80s output that isn't Steel Wheels is embarrassingly terrible.

I Just Like To Be Bad is another Who Oyster Cult tune-Allen's piano perfect for the sound of the song vis a vis Quad IMO.Any album with a song as great as Stone Of Love can't be bad even if the rest sucked and that just ain't true. Maybe Ninja is the worst but that's in comparison to a great catalogue.Perfect Water,Madness To The Method,Dancin are all great.I love White Flags and there are other good songs.I could have done without Ooga Chucka LOL but I'm guessing the band probably cracked up listening to the final mix and truthfully only Blue Suede could do ooga chucka properly. As for the Stones there was one 80's album that wasn't all that good but hey Mickey Mantle didn't hit a HR every time up either. No one rolled with the times better than Mick and Co. Had a nice convo with Jack Nitzsche and asked him what it was like producing The Stones. Said they were a bunch of nice kids who loved music, said he made bubkus on it and that they were all a bunch of rich snobs now.HAHA. I told Jack he should be in the HOF just for his work writing the arrangement for The Righteous Brothers(Bobby Hatfield only) classic Unchained Melody.

Every single member of the band shines on this track.

That song is by Blue Oyster Cult?
I always thought that Vince Neil and his motley crue commandeered the studio for that one.

Every single member of the band shines on this track. LOL Motley. It's closer to Lips than any Motley tune. With a side of Zep.

I really don't get Curse & believe me I've tried! Stone of Love is great & I also like Pocket. The rest of the album although well played throughout makes very little impression on me & rapidly becomes background music. Also with the exception of the two songs mentioned I don't think that the songs are up to par for this band. You can say the same for Ninja but it's got Perfect Water, Dancin' in the Ruins & Madness to the Method which go a very long way to make up for dross like Beat 'em Up & Rock not War.
As a footnote to Ninja; I saw BOC a few times on the UK leg of the Ninja tour & one of the highlights at those gigs was a "new song" called Wings of Mercury, it brought the house down every time. Imagine my disappointment when I discovered that it wasn't on Ninja. It can now be found on the Broadcasts disc of the Columbia albums box set.
I guess there is no definitive answer to this sort of question/discussion, taste being a subjective thing. I have two friends who would describe themselves as BOC friends, on of them swears that Spectres is BOC's best album (interesting) the other thinks it's their worst (wrong!!!) but it goes to show how polarizing this kind of thing is.

Unpopular musical opinion, number a million. Pink Floyd, what was all the fuss about? Bands like Nektar, PFM and Camel were more interesting. Basically, you can take their 16 (is it?) albums, distil the best tracks and you can just about fill a half decent single CD. And I never want to hear Dark Slide of the Spoon ever again, ever in my life...ever!
Discuss, play nice.

Dark Side, Wish You Were Here, and then assorted other tracks off of some other albums. The Wall is fucking BORING to me.

And I have tried, thinking it's just me that doesn't get it. I even bought the Immersion edition box set in the hope that I would find the missing link. But no. Dull, dull, dull. Give me a Legs Diamond live bootleg instead any day.

I dig Comfortably Numb but overall yeah that record bores the shit outta me.Then again The Iggles Hotel Calif never did much for me-the song is fine just not iconic.Life In The Fast Lane is meh and Heartache Tonight is a zero to me.I admit to enjoying their earlier work tho not nearly to the extent I liked The Flying Burrito Bros and nowhere close to The Byrds who IMO were something special..

Now there are tunes that were big hits in the day that did nothing for me that I now like.Honey by Bobby Goldsboro I find beautiful touching and haunting. Then again Ballad Of The Green Berets will always be laughable to me.I'd prefer Everett Dirksens The Gallant Men.
