Got my copies today and listened to the streaming version after midnight. Standout tracks so far Burnin for You and Lips in the Hills, both of which I think are the best versions on a live recording that I can recall. I'd have to listen again to be sure but it felt like Burnin' was extended out for an extra solo before the real ending, but I may be misremembering it because I was three 7 and 7's in by the time midnight rolled around lol. Lips in the Hills had a really great sound to it. Eric's voice sounds the best it has sounded in years on this record, too. He was fantastic all the way through. Buck's soloing as always is top notch, as is that classically unique overdrive tone, Richie great as always, Jules spectacular especially on those double bass blasts for the ending of O.D.'d, and Kasim's background vocals are extra special as always. Our cup runneth over for live versions of Golden Age during the last year, damn. Making up for lost time it feels like.

The releases this year have more than made up for the many lean years of BOC free purchases. I try and buy at least one version of everything as they're released apart from the studio albums where I have them now on multiple formats. The only one missing from "recent" releases is Rarities Vol. 1 which is now rarer than dodo teeth (and probably as expensive). The change of heart by Frontiers to re-issue the vinyl of Curse and Heaven Forbid has pushed the second hand value of both right down (good!). Frontiers told me neither Curse nor Heaven Forbid would get reissued after the first vinyl reissue so I'm glad someone there has been sensible.

listening right now. I saw them in London same year with Albert and they blew me away. I mean, I knew they were not a nostalgia act yet, but they went far beyond my expectations. this set is excellent, powerful yet elegant. airdrumming and singing while driving in town (go figure)

It's insane the amount of super high quality BOC content we have enjoyed the last couple years. If you told me 10 years ago this would happen I would call you crazy.

Fantastic Golden Age of Leather performance. Agreed, always wondered how the choir part could be pulled off live. Very impressive.
