I like EB's line “Okay, maybe some records weren’t as good as others. But even our bad records – if there were any – are better than those by some other bands.” Couldn't agree more (mostly).

“One thing that did change was that we’d had a really good line-up for a number of years, and we knew it was time to make one final record,” Dharma continues, before correcting himself. “This may be our last record or it may not, time will tell.” This statement caught me short for a bit.

I look at it this way: if it IS the last record, it is a HELL of a swan song. If there is more (and God willing Frontiers is thrilled with the response of Symbol and makes them an offer worth taking), even better. So many bands don't know their last album is their last album when they make it. If Aerosmith doesn't record another record, then they'll be going out on a dud. Same with The Who. All in my opinion of course. Billy Joel's last album of pop music, The River of Dreams, came out in 1993. The final song on the record is called "Famous Last Words," in which he sings "these are the last words I have to say, that's why it took so long to write; there may be other words some other day, but that's the story of my life." He was pretty sure then that he'd said enough, but even he couldn't rule out coming back. And who knows? He released a single in 2007 out of the blue, but otherwise he's content with his last words. Another record would kick ass, but there's also something poetic about the final words being "last one turn out the light," if it ends up that way.

We've been living with 'this could be the last...' album/concert for a long time. It's ok, just another shot of reality.

if YES would have stopped with Magnification it would have been a perfect ending.their last album 'heaven and earth'is a disaster. I think the symbol remains will be the final album . but my fan dream would be a final album with all past & present members .10 songs .2 buck songs , 2 eric songs , 2 ritchie songs, 2 albert bouchard songs and 2 joe bouchard songs, all singing their songs.

My .02 on Aerosmith is that they made more money in the 90's than they ever did and I thought 99% of it sucked.I liked a bunch of 70's tunes but when I listen to 70's rock on Sirius some of the Aerosmith stuff I hear does nothing for me.

Magnification is such an INCREDIBLE album.. as for their last.... I thought Into the Storm was one of their best songs, but otherwise the album is forgettable to me.
