www.ultimate-guitar.com/articles/features/30_bands_and_artists_with_their_own_line_of_alcoholic_beverages-114731I've been writing for UG since 2012. But prior to that, I wrote for a multitude of other music-based publications. One non-music based venture during that time was working for a website called Suicide Girls. I had a regular column on their site called "Whisky For Breakfast" where I would travel around and interview brewmasters and distillers. It didn't pay well but it was a fun gig and I got to do a lot of taste testing of various beverages. Those were some crazy times… aside from the obvious damage to my liver, the mass extermination of brain cells, and my being banned from staying at the Luxor in Vegas ever again, I would have to say, it was a pretty positive experience. Why am I telling you this? I like beer. I'm guessing that some of you out there reading this like beer too. So we're going to discuss some collaborations between musicians and brewmasters and distillers. Cheers! I have not tried all of these beers. But I'm working on it. Unfortunately, many of them were only limited runs that have since sold out.So, that leaves the question, what alcohol would you want BOC to put out on their brand? (other than the obvious Cully Stout Beer) I'd go with Mistress's Tequila with Salmon salt and Quicklime...

Not quite alcohol, but Metamucil packs a useful punch for those of us who are of a certain age.

In reading Buck's Closing Chord thread, we could just have a "Fuck it we're all going to die" fruit punch.

During the formative years of the on-line BOC community (either the AOL board or the original free-for-all Buck Dharma board) there was a contributor who was a do-it-yourself craft brewer (the name escapes me) who came up with some BOC-themed beers. As I can recall (?) there was - Eric Brew'em Bock, Buck's Belgian Brewgie, Ale-n Lanier Stout, Bouchlager Brothers Port; again, it's been a few years...

That was the late great Charlie Gow, who is no longer with us. We miss you Charlie! In the years before his early death, he was a big fan of Trans-Siberian Orchestra, who he'd essentially go on tour with during the Christmas season.

Charlie was a good guy. Went back to the AOL days. He was ahead of the curve on the beer brewing thing for sure.
