Buck, didn't you write a song about people dying.....? I think I may have heard it once or twice. :-) Last Days of May... ? Slightly tangentially, OK, very tangentially, I've been spending my Christmas transcribing a number of old newspaper BOC gig reviews (as you do) and I was amused last night by one Salt Lake reviewer from 1976 who came up with this: Led by Don 'Buck Dharma' Roeser, an adequate guitarist to say the least, the Cult both riddled and soothed the stomping crowd with such varied selections as "Me 262," "The Three Friends" and the current chart-topper "Don't Fear the Reaper."The "Three Friends", eh...? Still, I'm guessing Buck will be relieved to hear that he's "an adequate guitarist"... always nice to hear positive feedback... :-) I'm guessing 'The Three Friends' is the author's interpretation of Last Days...(i.e. three good buddies). Just a guess; looking forward to those article transcriptions Ralph.

Just heard that Alto Reed passed, today. Loved that tour, when Bob Seger opened for BÖC.

Sad-82.There are bunches of interviews with her talking about the show.Too bad she never did a Chiller convention when I was going to them.

I heard Silver Bullet Band sax player Alto Reed has died after battling cancer. Eric Bloom said Roger Earl reported it on Facebook.

Didnt BOC play some shows with them Buck ? Any recollections ?
My sisters a big Seger fan as I said. We all went to a show 6-8 years ago maybe. J Geils was a great back up show. Fun. Great live band.
Seger....Alto Reed stood out and was great. The music is fun since we grew up on it. You know every note and word. The band was good.
Sound couldnt overcome the singalong effect that was so powerful. More than any show Ive ever seen. Couldnt hear the band at points. Made me think of what the Beatles experience was as far as a crowd louder than a band. Its cool and a great tribute.....but...
I left with a smile...feeling like I just left a great party...but feeling like I wanted to go to Rock Concert on the way home.
That said, Id do it again. Fun just not fulfilling in some actual personal Rock level.

Saw Bob Seger and Silver Bullet back up BOC in Springfield IL. I remember Alto Reed took a big sax solo up high on the PA or rigging or something, good show.

We did a run with Bob and the Silver Bullet Band right before he went huge. It was a good time, music was great.
