Willis Reed…damn. Back when I was a Knicks fan. Great great player supposedly a good guy-the Captain was a great shooting power forward before they traded Bellamy for Debusschere and the Captain took over at Center.I went to one of the playoff games vs the Bullets in '69 and saw the whole MSG series games vs the Alcindor Bucks a few years later.Willis lived in my friends building on 2nd Ave and I think 34 st.

Scott Johnson (May 12, 1952 – March 24, 2023) American composer known for his pioneering use of recorded speech as musical melody, and his distinctive crossing of American vernacular and art music traditions, making extensive use of electric guitar in concert works, and adapting popular music structures for art music genres such as the string quartet. From: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Scott_Johnson_(composer)Somebody here with a background in music composition may know of his work. I understand pieces of it, but the rest is beyond what I can grasp the complete importance of.

Tom Leadon "Tom Leadon, the guitarist who co-founded Mudcrutch with Tom Petty and Mike Campbell and was the brother of Eagles co-founder Bernie Leadon, has died. He was 70. He died March 22, but no other details were available." source and more info: deadline.com/2023/03/tom-leadon-dead-tom-petty-mudcrutch-1235311271/It doesn't look like Leadon was ever a member of "Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers", however in 2007 Petty, along with Leadon, re-formed Mudcrutch. One of Mudcrutch's popular songs was "Scare Easy" which was written by Petty with the famous line "I'm a loser at the top of my game". In the live video below I'm pretty sure that Leadon is in the blue-ish jacket and says the 1-2-3-4 at the beginning and does guitar and vocals.

Keith Reid, lyricist for Procol Harum Co-writer of their song "A Whiter Shade of Pale". Apparently he was either the writer or co-writer of most of their songs except those on their album "Novum" (2017). This was very sad news....was going to post it, but was beaten to the punch. I was playing this one in his honor....Gary Brooker's (RIP) vocals are so haunting, and still gives me chills after all these years.
