It's been a few weeks since I last listened to the Symbol Remains all the way through. Basically, a song here and there in my car. This evening I listened all the way through and really noticed all the "little and hidden" elements that jump out at you that I had not noticed before...keyboard flourishes, guitar licks, lyrics, drum fills, bass lines, weird sounding effects and other things! I guess the brain can only absorb so much of a good thing in the beginning when all is new. Familiarity and memory allows one to enjoy all the subtleties and hidden gems now! Much rejoicing!

Good idea. I haven't listened to TSR for over a month, I should probably take your approach.
PS Your title for this thread made me think of corn.

It's certainly a record that pays repeated listens. There is so much going on every listen seems to uncover something new. Yesterday I heard a sound near the end of Secret Road that sounded like something falling over or maybe being unplugged. This is the gazillionth time I've played it & I hadn't heard this before!

I'm obsessed with finding that sound thats at the beginning of Secret Road and Box in my Head. I got Native Instruments Komplete 13 for my band and I'm literally going through EVERY synth preset to find that exact sound, because I have a particular song I've wanted to play it under ever since I heard it lol.

The Symbol Remains is quite the Headphone Album.
