Starting to feel like it will be happening before too long. Here in Maine the most vulnerable are nearly all vaccinated and the fear is subsiding. You can feel it, and it feels good. Really good.
The Rockland Blues Fest and Maine Whoopie Pie Fest joyfully announced that both are on for this summer. Hopefully many follow their lead.
Outdoor venues will be busy I think. Hell I will be happy to see the local guy at the local pub sitting on stool singing a few songs.
Whatever it takes...We need it...and have some hope for Maine music finally. Without making it about the virus or political of course....any other areas feel like we might hear live music in the next couple months ? Who is booking shows where inside or out ?

My wedding band just logged 3 cancellations and one postponement this week. Off to a rough start! Most of these are technically unnecessary but many couples not wanting to inconvenience their guests with covid protocol even though the restrictions are lightening up. I'm in southern Maine too.

Thats a bummer. What month gig was the furthest off ? Mid August! The venue put a 50 head count on the event for indoors. I guess they could do 100 outside but they'd have to pay extra for a tent. They decided to bail on the whole affair and do a small back yard ceremony.

i won't make the sea world gig but i should have my st. augustine tix tonight. Heading to see them in Lancaster in June. Hopefully PA will be sufficiently vaccinated by then. I'm in Delaware and they are behind the curve on that front, but June is a long way away so we shall see. I'm optimistic the show will stay on.

I’m not 100% convinced it won’t get postponed again but we’ll see. Great place to see a show. By the way, after the show if you’re hungry you should think about hitting Your Place; it’s right down the street. Best Stromboli I ever had though not a fan of their pizza.
