The interview I did recently with Dom Famularo on The Sessions Panel is now live. Here's a link to the channel and you'll see the interview on the front page. It was pretty good, and Dom and I have a lot in common with Long Island as a common ground.

Dom taught Jules Radino for a time historically. Dom and I are contemporaries, and I knew of him although had not met him prior to our Zoom call. It was a fun interview!

Finally got a chance to listen to it. Very interesting regarding modeling the leads in the way one would for brass. There always was a notable melodicism to your playing that felt more like deliberate composition and less like just grasping for standard licks. The solos from Revenge of Vera Gemini and Morning Final come to mind.

I also think Buck would have been bored staying in the same lane all the time plus thankfully with everyone contributing to the mix there was plenty of variety to play with. Those of course being the same reasons we love so much of the music.Variety and quality is a tough combination to beat.

Yes a very comfortable listen without exploring any new ground but putting it into a nice Meet Buck Dharma package. From A to Z just well done.

Dom taught Jules Radino for a time historically. Dom and I are contemporaries, and I knew of him although had not met him prior to our Zoom call. It was a fun interview! Isn’t Zoom great? Let’s one get an outlet of the hum drum home alone we’ve all encountered.. I remember meeting Dom at a NAMM show one year. We were at a seminar he was conducting. Very nice and considerate person. .. Then once at an after show meetup in Tacoma. It was either a drum convention or a BÖC show. Jules was at both of them. Both were great conversations. I think I’ll look him up again.
