More than a third of the show was new (at the time) tunes. I’d love to hear that set today!

Sounds good blasting thru out my deck. I revisited the entire Spectres record and it just might be my favorite BOC release. I love the night should have been promoted as a hit single. Correct me if im wrong, but somehow got botched.

Agreed on Spectres. And ILTN could be BOC's greatest song.Nosferatu has to be listened to after the David Carradine piece on the movie.

Monsters would be another one for the seldom/never played list. Sam Judd on the 28 Jul 1980 El Paso gig: Although I think they might have played it twice, I can only remember goin thru all the hassle to play Monsters once... I had to move one of the mini-moogs so Bloom could cover the horn parts on it and it was in El Paso Texas..
Bolle later sent me this setlist for El Paso, confirming its inclusion: 01 Dr Music 02 ETI 03 Monsters 04 Unknown Tongue 05 Cities On Flame 06 Marshall Plan 07 Divine Wind 08 Me262 09 Hot Rails To Hell 10 Black Blade 11 Godzilla 12 5 Guitar Medley (Mark III) 13 Born to be Wild 14 (Don't Fear) The Reaper So - it was played at least once - the soundboard tape was later handed over to Mr S, and has now disappeared into the black hole of those tracks he would designate as "not worthy of an official release" so therefore must be withheld from anybody ever hearing it... as to why that would be the case...? Well, there you have me... I have zero clue... That's one hell of a set list. I'm sure the band could have made the necessary adjustments to play the song more often if they'd wanted to, it's a great song & I'm pretty sure it would have been well received. Totally agree regarding the "not worthy of an official release" black hole, I'm pretty sure that most of us here would buy this stuff if it were released. Maybe as a comprise a career spanning live album or box set featuring rarely performed stuff & other remarkable performances would be a good idea.

I'm pretty sure I Love the Night was released as a single, I think it was the second from the album after Goin' Through the Motions. No idea why either of them weren't hits, they certainly deserved to be.
