I wasn't really sure how to introduce this one. Buck may even want to delete it. The website the BÖC related article is on may offend a number of you. I stumbled on it by accident looking for BÖC articles published in the last week. FYI: I'm not condoning or condemning any of the information presented on the website. I want to stay away from the politics! THE WEBSITE THE ARTICLE IS ON IS VERY POLITICAL, but since such a large part of the actual article is BÖC related I've provided a link to it below. The article doesn't seem to trash BÖC itself, in fact a lot is complementary, depending on your interpretation. "The Red and the Black" at: www.theqtree.com/2022/09/02/the-red-and-the-black/

I had no idea that OYFOOYK did that to people. I think something is buried underneath Independence Hall, I am willing to bet my tin foil hat on it.

I don’t think politics is the issue so much as people who are that off their rocker tend towards extremes in every aspect, be it politics or religion or other cultural issues with fringes.
Also wow. Lol

Wasted 60 seconds of life I cant get back scanning it. Dilusional nonsense from where I sit but thats me.
This is why they make chocolate AND vanilla. Different people like very different things.
Carry on.

Yep the guys a fruit cake.I think The Red & The Black and ME262 are actually really funny songs.
A loon with a political/belief system axe to grind will distort anything/everything to fit into their own world view.

The first two words in the lyric, "Canadian Mounties," explain the color reference. Look no further, and infer nothing further than the song's story. It may well have been a nod to the 1830 French novel "The Red And The Black" by Stendahl. According to Wikipedia, it was Al Gore's favorite book. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Red_and_the_Black#Literary_and_critical_significanceOTOH, Sandy Pearlman was definitely into occult symbolism and where he saw occult influence, and weaved it into his whole Soft Doctrine of Imaginos stories. Sandy, of Jewish heritage and of course no NAZI, was nonetheless fascinated by the historical impact of mid-century Germany on the world, enough to write a song like ME262 and to create the cover of "Secret Treaties." We took some grief for that, it was edgy, in the realm of pop music subject matter and popular culture in general. You give people one reason to call you a name, and they will. Especially today, am I right? I guess I should be flattered that a discussion like the one at link happen at all. Nobody talks with this much interest about Firefall, do they? Too bad Sandy is no longer with us to speak to it. Anyway, I'm all for free speech. I find any and all effort to restrict and silence free expression in current times to be dishonest and corrupt. Sticks and stones people. Let us think for ourselves. We can figure it out. We figured this one out, yes?

Also, an obsession with Hitler and Nazism isn’t exactly an endorsement of same. People make it their life’s work to study this era because it is sociologically, psychologically, historically, fascinating. Understanding how and why remains a huge area of scholarship. We are almost 100 years passed Hitler’s failed coup, and people still debate how a society changed so dramatically so relatively quickly. Video games are still made about fighting nazis. Movies are still made about the war. Why not music? How would ME 262 automatically mean it’s some sort of endorsement of nazism just because it’s about a nazi pilot? Nobody questions if David Byrne is a murderer because of Psycho Killer.

One of my guilty pleasures is Firefall's song Just Remember I Love You. Just has a great sound to it.

It really is a shame (for all sorts of reasons) that SP is no longer with us, I would have loved to read/heard is response to this. As far as ME262 is concerned I've always thought of it in the same way as Mel Brook's The Producers (featuring amongst others a song called Springtime for Hitler) very funny. Mel of course is also of Jewish heritage.

I think you can see why I used the word "Bizarre" as the first word in the thread title.
I agree completely with Buck on his free speech comments. I think that too many people now are "triggered" by views different than their own. Triggered wasn't even a thing back when I was younger. A lot of times I completely disagree with, even hate, some of the views my friends have, but I usually find some valid takeaway that I hadn't thought of.
Conflicting viewpoints can be a path to the truth.
