One thing a buddy of mine home tested negative earlier this year but went to a local medi-merge and the PCR test showed positive so the home tests might show false negatives. My home test was negative the first time, then my PCRtest was positive. I think the home tests are shite frankly.

Several people are posting on social media that they tested positive, risk of Covid wasn’t a huge factor in my decision not to go, but since my mom fell and broke her hip, and is having surgery, today, on her 89th birthday, it’s a good thing I didn’t go. Unfortunately, I may miss the Chicagoland shows, as well. Bummed, but all in all, I’m healthy, strong enough to take care of my loved ones, and it’s a beautiful day here in the heartland. Gunna go for a run and rock to some tunes.

She’s the toughest person I know, 50 year cancer survivor, radical mastectomy, hysterectomy, both carotids cleaned out, partial colectomy, dementia for 8 years, now this. Her time is nigh, but the reaper will have to catch her sleeping. She loved Elvis, Tom Jones, Engelbert Humperdinck, Bread, and Three Dog Night. We still sing songs, she remembers more lyrics than I do. She doesn’t remember me, but I’ll never forget her. I can see myself in the old folks home, and my daughter playing Teen Archer, and me doing the air guitar. “She don’t caaaaaaaare”

Numbers going up! I’m not sure yet but I’ve got the psychosomatic thing going on! Hopefully it’s a less harmful variant and everyone shakes it off quickly.

Oh, I forgot to add that my mom has had Covid, twice. The worst thing for us was she was quarantined for months, in 2020, and again, in 2021. She came through her hip surgery, and actually got out of bed, with help, this morning. I, too, wish everyone the best!

Hope all of you get well soon with no complications! Most people we know that got it had relatively mild symptoms, but one had it about two weeks.
So far the wife and I are NOVIDS (a new term popping up for people that haven't had it, never knew they had it, are immune, just lucky, jabs worked, or whatever). Wife has been bugging me to schedule our "new and improved" Omicron bivalent booster. I showed her the beginning of this thread and that pushed her over the edge to "motivate" me (she was already on the edge anyway). So today was our fourth (total) jab.
So why are we NOVIDS? Pick one of the above while I knock on wood.
