BOC have performed covers in their live shows by bands such as the MC5, The Animals, The Doors, etc. throughout the years. Today, I was listening to the song, Hypnotized, by the early 1970’s version of Fleetwood Mac, written and sung by Bob Welch when he was in the band. I have always liked that song because there is something about the sound of the guitar riffs played throughout the song that I find so appealing. So, today as I was listening to the song it dawned on me that BOC could have done this song because the lyrics are right up BOC’s alley. You know, UFO’s, and mysterious happenings. I can imagine a version of Buck singing this with his tasteful, melodic guitar riffs filling in throughout with maybe a short solo in the middle. I don’t believe there is a chance of it ever happening but I think if the song had appeared on one of their past albums it would have fit right in.

I admire Bob Welch in a similar way I admire Lindsay Buckingham and Walter Egan. I like that vibe they all brought/bring to their song writing and player esthetic.

I would love to hear your version of this song. Awesome song and also have a lot of respect for Bob Welch.
I will find the link on YouTube of Bob Welch doing a solo show post Fleetwood Mac playing in Hollywood and Stevie Nicks (who looks amazing)and Mick Fleetwood (who is cool as hell) come up on stage at his solo show and do a song with Bob and crush it. So cool.

BOC have played 3 gigs - that I know of - with Fleetwood Mac during the Bob Welch lineup era (72-73), then at least one with Bob's new band, Paris, in 1976 and then another at the Superjam in 1978 when he was simply billed as "Bob Welch". He actually once emailed me to say that he thought that Paris had played more than 1 gig with BOC, but annoyingly, he had no clue as to what the other gigs might have been... my conclusion: musicians should keep gig diaries...

I saw Welch in 28 July 1978. Lineup was Pablo Cruise, Bob Welch, Foreigner and Fleetwood Mac. I Had no idea, that was our Wedding Day one year later... #RichStadium

Watching Eastmark's clip. Great version and performances. Mike Fleetwood's Conga playing is funky! He also looks high as a kite. : )

I love the Welch era of Fleetwood Mac so much. Was just listening to Penguin the other day.

1981. Both he and Stevie were coked up if I had to guess.
Really enjoyable performance IMO. Great vibe and great fun.
