Here's a picture I snapped of the Belt of Venus this evening when I was out for my walk. The Belt of Venus is the band of pink that appears in the sky opposite the rising or setting sun, if the conditions are right. It's also called the anti-twilight arch. The blue beneath the pink is the shadow of the Earth on the atmosphere.

The Anti-Twilight would be a great title for a BOC album.

Well, since someone decided to dredge up one of my old posts, I'll add to it. Here's a photo I took of Saturday morning's launch of an Atlas V 401 rocket, as seen from across the state in Fort Myers, FL. We're about 165 miles southwest of Cape Canaveral. The payload for this mission was NASA's Lucy spacecraft which will explore some asteroids near Jupiter.
