Vinnie Colaiuta is simply one of the greatest drummers of all time. Ten Summoners Tales is one of my fave CDs of anyone. Love it.

Joe Bouchard does a good version of Superman. The Kinks were a pretty prolific recording band in the 70's. I saw them twice.Waterloo Sunset was awesome in concert.

They are one of my favorites of all time. Truly a phenomenal band. They had a run of perfect albums from Face to Face to Muswell Hillbillies.

Kinks fans, Have you seen the Village Green documentary, it's a lot of fun, PBS I think. Al Stewart fans, According to this account, Al Stewart taught Jimmy Page how to play Black Waterside (which Jimmy then nicked to become Black Mountain Side). en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Down_by_BlackwatersideAnd according to a comment here, Richard Thompson is the guitarist.

Kinks fans, Have you seen the Village Green documentary, it's a lot of fun, PBS I think. I have not, but The Kinks are the Village Green Preservation Society is one of my favs of all time. Really, any album of theirs from Face to Face through Muswell Hillbillies is either perfect or damn near enough. My favorite Kinks song of all time, however, is Shangri-La from Arthur or: The Decline and Fall of the British Empire.

According to the notes that's Page on lead here.Fairport is on the record but Page is on lead on this song and Love Chronicles.I believe Thompson is on lead on You Should Have Listened to Al.
