Of all the versions of the great John D Loudermilks Tobacco Road this is still my favorite.Piano man John Hawken was in early Renaissance and The Strawbs when I saw them with BOC at the Commack Arena: Man, you've got an encyclopaedic memory when it comes to this stuff. Good on you!

It's easy to trash the Blaze Bayley era. Hell, I once joked that Iron Maiden was 97% awesome, 3% Blaze Bayley (they retweeted me lol). But in all seriousness, I don't think there is anything wrong with this era. The music is quite different because Bayley sounded nothing like Dickinson or Di'Anno, but neither did the others sound like each other. Of their 16 studio albums, a quarter of them don't have Dickinson and those sound very different from each other as well. I love the Di'Anno era and I like the Bayley era.

Specres and Sheer Heart Attack are two of my favorite records of the 70's. BTW Watched Utopia I think you'll like it and they're set up for a second season.Just got the first 6 ep season of the original 2013 Brit Utopia. Was happy they aired the last episode of Season 10 of TWD last nite.Just got started on the World Beyond series and Fear TWD starts up again next Sunday.

Pretty much everything between Queen II and The Works was a masterpiece. I don't know if I could choose. My hands down favorite queen song, however, is from News of the World:

BOCs I Ain't Got You is one of my favorite live covers of all time if not my absolute fav.
But I also can't forget these gems.

It's 3am and I can't sleep before my last exam day. So I'm listening to thrash metal because why not? Lol

I love many times comparing a band's first release to their later stuff and just wondering if it was possible to predict such an evolution in the beginning.

I mean, The Garden being the last track on their last album, just perfection.
Been thinking of Neil a lot this week what with Eddie’s passing. Two of my musical heroes. Top 5 for me.
