As for what I'm listening to right at this moment. I put myself on a Symbol Remains moratorium for today and tomorrow so I don't overdo it lol (eight listens so far); but I have a trip down to Milford, DE tomorrow which is an hour and a half away so you bet your ass I'm bringing that CD with me. Anyway, right NOW, I am listening to: Basically, you put electric piano in your song, and I'm SOLD. Electric piano and pitched percussion like glockenspiel or vibraphone or xylophone etc. are like my favorite things in a lot of 70's music. There's a reason I became such a huge fan of Frank Zappa of that era. The electric piano thing comes from an entire childhood listening to my dad play Ray Charles, I'll bet. But anyway, this song by Peter Frampton has some of my favorite electric piano outside of 73/74-era Zappa or Supertramp.

Bought an Amazon Echo Dot on prime day for $18.99 and it arrived today. I surprised my wife by setting it up without her knowing and getting it to play one of her favorite bands out of the blue, and her face lit up. She knew we were getting an Echo but I hadn't told her I was setting it up this evening.

First hard rock concert I ever saw was in 1974 summertime Academy Of Music Frampton's Camel headlined for Montrose and Spooky Tooth.I was disappointed Spooky Tooth didn't do I Am The Walrus since I really dug it.

October to May and The Actor are also fine tracks. Coincidentally, I decided to spin some Strawbs last night. Grave New World was recorded just before Two Weeks Last Summer and has a similar sound. Benedictus is a standout track on that album.

Right now I am listening to From A Whisper to A Whisper by Dyble Longdon, Dyble being Judy Dyble the later, former lead singer of Fairport Convention and David Longdon from Big Big Train. Very classy album.

Audioslave's Out of Exile is probably the last album I've listened to as obsessively as I have The Symbol Remains. The main riffs of both albums' first tracks share similar sensibilities as well. RIP Chris Cornell.
