My second favorite album of 2020 was After Hours. The Weeknd is combining R&B with Synthpop in a way that I find absolutely fascinating and impossible not to enjoy. This and Blinding Lights are my favorite cuts from the album, but this one might edge it out just. Little more. After Hours is such an incredible album. The worst SB half time show ever. BORING. I kept waiting for someone to come out and help the poor guy.

I’m trying TRYING to listen to the live Rush album R40. I’m about to declare it UNLISTENABLE due to Geddys vocals. What a bummer.

Great ! More YES Than actual YES Anne Marie vocal is excellent ! Yes makes me want a Rickenbacker so bad. Great vocals indeed! I always thought Jon Anderson sounded like a girl.

Roy Orbison. Somewhat saved from obscurity by the Traveling Wilburys:

Roy Orbison. Somewhat saved from obscurity by the Traveling Wilburys: Orbison never lost his popularity but his solo record AND Wilburys contribution brought him back into the limelight sorta like Springsteen bringing Gary US Bonds into the publics view almost 20 years after his hits.

My wife's favorite band (along with The Smithereens). She's having a bad day so I am playing a Waterboys mix for her from my computer while I'm working.

My friend played in a band with Dennis Diken back in the 70's and we went to the Bottom Line in NYC to see a Georgie Fame show(Tribute to Mose Allison).Dennis sat with us and seemed like a good guy(his GF actually worked at the club).Saw the Smithereens open for The Pretenders at Radio City-damn good show.

Thank you for saying what I meant to say. It introduced him to an audience that would have viewed Pretty Woman as a song by a one hit artist.

The Black and White Night show was a fitting tribute to his career.I was lucky to see him twice in '88 and '89(Southside Johnny opening)just before he passed.

I love Chris Isaak, and he's always sounded like Roy Orbison to me.

I love Chris Isaak, and he's always sounded like Roy Orbison to me. There was a scene in one of his tv shows where he says something like "and the band learning all of BOC's songs".Can't recall the exact quote.

This is the first time in a while I've loved a multi-week #1 single. I just really like this song. Her voice reminds me of another artist I like, Nicole Reynolds:

Listening to some new prog by old hands. Singularity by Rain, who consist of the former bassist from UK prog bands IQ, Arena and a former member of Robert Plant's old touring band. It has jazzy elements, hints of King Crimson and Yes but is very modern sounding.
This will hold me off until my copy of the Zappa Movie soundtrack arrives.
