ROCK ON, Cheryl -- Thanks for posting. Even the video gives me chills. I like them 'cause they tend to JAM. Great musicians. Mas Y Mas!! They're playing WAY up in the mitten (my state)... about 5 hours away. Don't know if I'll be able to do that one, but you've got me thinking about it. Colossal Head is just about my favorite Lobos record. I told that to Steve Berlin a while ago and he said, man, that was just a jam record. Yeah, it was!

Missed the extra gigs here but they are traveling close to where I'll be at for BÖC gigs so I may hit them as well. When are they in your area. ? And hey 5 hours is nothing!! Lol

So strange as Colossal Head is the lp I bought! I heard that was the one to buy! Glad I got good advice. Tried to get it to take to the show but Amazon wasn't fast enough. Next time. Steve Berlin, Now that guy is one hard-blowing jazz saxophonist. One instrument I really enjoy listening to.( my daughter played the sax ) Gonna see what my audio sounds like from the show. ( Centola, I'll let you know as well ) Talking to Steve after the show, great guy for sure. They were all so nice. I mentioned to him he outta come to check out the Hillsboro BÖC show in July since he lives somewhere in this west coast area. Gave a thumbs up!

Too funny! I know 5 hours is nothing! Could be life-changing, and it often is. And... as I was thinking: pertaining to the late Mr. Cornell, you never know when THIS time might be the last...
It's July 7, I think -- way up in the mitten. I've got a COLOSSAL exam to take a few days later and I'm already sweating it. :/

HOB is July 22 in Cleveland and Kettering the 21st. Yes, I'll be there with a couple friends. You outta join us.

I would have to say that Kiko was their masterpiece. By the way Buck, Los Lobos is on the bill on the Rock Getaway in Mexico; I believe during your time there.

The first Latin Playboys album that David Hidalgo and Louie Perez made with Mitchell Froom and Tchad Blake feels like a sort of experimental companion to Kiko.

Kiko might be the premier studio record, but I'll listen to anything they do.
