Buck - just noticed you remarked in another thread: "Albert just sent me a bunch of Conry's recordings." I was just wondering what you made of them? Albert has occasionally played a track or two from these tapes on his radio programme, and - from a fan's pov - it's been absolutely wonderful to hear such historic gems - whether it be great cover versions (like Watchtower, Allright Now, Aimless Lady, the Beatles stuff etc), the SFG tracks, (like Ragamuffin, Sneakers, Gil Blanco, You Make Me Feel etc etc) as well as the nascent BOC stuff - Stairway, LDOM, I'm on the Lamb - plus "crossover" songs like Siren and Bark in the Sun... :-) It doesn't matter about the odd bit of wow and flutter, or zero crowd reaction etc, this is all brilliant stuff - made even more so by the fact that it's recorded at such a legendary venue for BOC fans... I would never be so arrogant as to speak for anyone but myself, but I bet you any money that I can make an exception here - I bet I speak for all BOC fans when I say: wouldn't it be lovely if these Conry's show were available to buy...?

Ralph, I haven't listened to much of it yet. Can't say about distributing it. I'd have to think about it, and so would the rest of us.

It may have been on the other BOC board, but I believe it was mentioned that the whole issue of cover songs and the pre-songs (that were developed further and eventually made it on to BOC albums) make the whole compensatory aspect not too straightforward. OTOH, whenever you see an amusing BOC/SFG/SWU upload on YT, go to keepvid and it's yours forever.
