Steve Morse and his family came down to our gig in Ocala last Saturday. Great guy and great player. He lives close by. Had we known, we'd have made him play. Here he is with Jules and me. Cool pic. Bonus points for Morse wearing a Ducati shirt.

Ha, not yet. I do have containers with ashes of my pets, and one with some ashes of my brother Brian, who died in 2010. I find it comforting to have the ashes with me, in the home. It's like he's still around, in a sense. I definitely can relate to this and do find it comforting. I have my brothers ashes in my home as well. I feel hes still here and at times just stare at the container. As for pets, they were buried with the flowers.. Thanks for sharing.

Where I live in FL, there's some big diamond back rattlers living on the island. They don't show themselves much, they avoid humans, but you see them every once in a while. They're big, fatter than old Schwinn bike tires. Eewww. Now that is fat! hah, I remember those tires. I dont think I want to ride bikes then.. Maybe on the pavement.

Buck - any "tour memories" of the first "real" SWU gig outside Stony Brook (not counting the Blues Bag) at the Anderson on 2 Feb 1968 with Country Joe and Jim Kweskin. Here's a review - by the non-partisan Howie Klein :-) : It's especially interesting because it also indicates the songs that SWU were playing back then: You Hangin' Round Green (obviously we know this became St Cecilia) All Night Gas Station (again, we know what this morphed into) Alan's Song (presumably "Allen's Song and nobody could be bothered giving it a name..."? Rain is Falling Any memories of these songs - maybe they too got upgraded later to become "new" tunes...?

Was hoping to make that gig. A little ways from Seattle, but I'm going to be over there soon and hit a few shows. That will be a blast..Nice picture.. Thanks for sharing... Cheryl.

Ralph, I wish I could add something to the record here, but my recollection of that era's music minutiae is dim. Only with historical prods like that article can I remember it at all. Maybe under hypnosis.

2012 NAMM pass. Buck representing Castellano's House Of Music. View Attachment Buck,. I first met you at 2013 Namm.. Was at the sound check for The Living Legends gig. Sadly, I didn't know who was who in that room...BUT now I do.. Oh I wish I knew back then what I know now... And then, the semi-private pool side concert with the band. That was great. . Since then.I'm a BÖC fan all the way.. Buck zone at the concert. Yes that's me☺! .Wow I wish I started back then. I would have some cool shirts.. But I didn't, so I'm having the time of many life now. I've meet some great people. ( Steve Hobbs., Bolle Included). The band is unreal in kindness and , Buck your awesome in whatever you do up on that stage.. Your kindness and care for your fans is wonderful.. This is part of my bucket list.. Concerts and meeting the guys. Thank you Buck . Cheryl

Only with historical prods like that article can I remember it at all. Maybe under hypnosis. My hope was that you'd read that review and then a lightbulb in your head would suddenly go 'ping' and it would all come flooding back... So, anyway - about that gig with the Ten Years After and the MC5 in the gym... > Maybe under hypnosis Now you're talking...

As BOC were a LATE replacement for Metallica on those Ozzy dates - and nobody had bothered to tell the Metallica fans who showed up - I bet some of those memories involved ducking and dodging missiles... :-( That was only on one show, in the Bay Area of CA. The crowd (at least a vocal portion of the crowd) were pissed we weren't Metallica. One thing BOC isn't, and that's Metallica. The other times we played with Ozzy (Spokane WA comes to mind) we were fine, and Ozzy's crowd didn't mind that we weren't Metallica.

I wonder how much a couple sessions would cost.

Not a tour memory, but would you happen to have one of these stowed away somewhere?

Buck - Any chance of you playing in the UK again anytime soon? (my last memories of a tour were thirty years ago in a drunken Glasgow student union - no memorabilia survived, not surprising really.)

I see much talk of who our beloved Oyster Boys have opened for,but being a veteran of a hundred plus psychic shows. B.O.C.introduced me to some of their opening acts.some of which I ended up becoming a fan of or would have never seen live otherwise. UFO Foghat Nazareth Uriah Heep Aldo Nova. Just to name a handful.
