After resting up from Friday night’s show, which was on October 12th, I’m now ready to write!
The concert was originally scheduled for the 20th, but because of a scheduling conflict, it was moved to the 12th. Didn’t mind this all, since that meant that I was going to see BOC slightly earlier!
I was on Eric and Richie’s side for the night in front row; seats 7 and 8 with my dad.
Although doors aren’t usually open until 6:30 PM, the entrance are usually open, so we waited to stay warm inside. While waiting, we saw almost everyone in BOC except for Buck come out of the elevator from Club Arcada.
Once doors opened, we got to our seats, and then shortly afterwards, Ron Onesti comes out. I gave him my poster with my sharpie included so the band members could sign it.
Speaking of the opening act, they were One of the Boyzz, who were formerly known as The Cool Rockin’ Daddies, who I saw last time as the latter opening up for BOC in 2015. They played a really good show, and I even got to shake Dan Buck’s hand towards the end of their set!
So, onto BOC’s performance, it was a surprising show! Although I would not rank this show’s setlist higher than the last Arcada one from last year, I was happy that Transmaniacon MC and Black Blade were included. Their peak during the show was the encore, which ran for 4 songs, which also included a couple more songs I haven’t heard in awhile, particularly Joan Crawford and I Love the Night.
2. Before The Kiss, A Redcap
3. The Golden Age Of Leather
4. Burning For You
5. ME 262
6. Black Blade
7. Harvest Moon
8. The Vigil
9. Buck’s Boogie
10. Then Came the Last Days of May
11. Tattoo Vampire
12. Godzilla
13. (Don’t Fear) The Reaper
Encore
14. Joan Crawford
15. I Love The Night
16. Hot Rails to Hell
We were a little confused for a good 10 seconds, because I thought I was going to be asked again like last year on how to get a copy of my poster illustration. However, to my surprise, we were actually invited downstairs for something even better. We were brought downstairs to chat with Buck! He was chilling out on a chair in the same meet and greet room, and I got to talk about how I was working on my fan art piece while also studying for midterms, lol. My dad also got to chat with Buck too and talk about concerts. We told Buck that we were going to go to Club Arcada when we went back upstairs. Buck said he might go, depending on how he was feeling, because he had to leave early for St. Louis the next morning.
I wanted to explore a bit, so after ordering food, I go into the long, skinny grey room for the first time, to find many fans in there such as Tom and strangeways again! It was really awesome to see them again in the upstairs club!
It also turned out that a few BOC members, Buck, Danny, and Jules in particular, came back upstairs as well, so I got to hang out with them for a bit as well as ride the elevator with them!
It was overall a night I will never forget. I got to meet some fans again, got to meet Tom for the first time, got a great meet and greet picture, great show, and just got to spend way more time with some of the band members than I ever did before!

I was feeling art-blocked for awhile on how I should illustrate the next BOC illustration for the next meet and greet, but since I had planned on going to Club Arcada again, I went with a colored 1920s-themed illustration. I finished it the night before the show, so I had it printed off in the morning.
I did request to the venue to attend soundcheck, but I did not get a response on an update. Regardless, me and my dad left the house after 2 PM to go attend the soundcheck. However, about less than 20 minutes before it actually began, the VIP coordinator had come up to tell us that it was not open for VIPs this time around. It bummed us out a bit, but we went to Portillo’s and then hit an arcade to kill some time before heading back to the theater.
Here's me playing Cities on Flame

I did get to meet some online fans that night, several in fact! I met strangeways, Jim and Julie Crouch, Leigh and Lori Franklin, and, after the opening act, Tom!

Sometime during their performance, me and my dad left our seats for a bit to get in line for the meet and greet. Many had said they really loved my artwork, and I got some hugs from Buck, Jules, and Danny! The meet and greet photo turned out great too! After the meet and greet, one of the security staff members, who easily recognizes me and my dad at shows and is generally cool with us, brought back the poster and said that we could go back downstairs after their set!

After the show, we were told to wait for 5 minutes so we sat down closer towards where the arch to the basement stairs were. While waiting, we saw Eric come out. We were a little confused so we went onstage, but it turns out that he was actually meeting with a few other people. I was too hesitant to talk to him. So after standing onstage for a bit, the security man comes back and brings us downstairs.

After hugging and thanking him for chatting with us, we went upstairs, where I went into the restroom to take my red wrap dress off of my flapper one and then sat in the white marquee room, which was where the reservation was.
Here's the room (though my table photograph turned out crappy ).

I particularly hung out out with Buck more, since he hung out with me and the others for a good 10-15 minutes in the grey room before going back to his area to chill with Jules and Danny. I also got a another photo with him!

Also, thanks so much to Richie and Danny for sharing my art on their profiles! I am amazed by how much people loved my piece, that I gotta thank them too! I got my autographed poster framed yesterday, so now, it’s hanging above my desk!
