I played the prototype of the latest iteration of Ned Steinberger's guitar design. It felt and played great, but I didn't hear it through an amp. I'd imagine it would sound much like earlier versions. I like the look a lot and the way the guitar fit on the player's body.

Steinbergers have little personality themselves, other than neutrality. The sound is all downstream from the instrument. I understand the appeal of traditional wooden instruments for their personality. I'm using quite a few other guitars on the new BOC record.
