Which currently-working musicians would you love to see form a supergroup? I was reading something that was talking about Tina Weymouth and I just thought it would be great to see her performing again because she's such a damn good bass player and writer (Fa fa fa fa fa fa fa fa). Here's my supergroup Lead Vocals: Shirley Manson (Garbage) Lead & Rhythm Guitar: Buck Dharma (Blue Öyster Cult) Lead & Rhythm Guitar: Elliot Easton (The Cars) Keyboards: Nick Rhodes (Duran Duran) Bass: Tina Weymouth (Talking Heads, Tom Tom Club) Drums: Stewart Copeland (The Police, Oysterhead) Producer: Roy Thomas Baker (Queen, The Cars, Journey) Imagine the kind of unusual music this band could put together! Shirley Manson is modern pop/industrial, Tina Weymouth and Stewart Copeland are New Wave, Rhodes can bridge the gap between them, and Buck and Elliot Easton are classic rock. That kind of a blend of styles could really work I think. Y'all have any ideas for supergroups?

Can you imagine the harmonies?
Buck Dharma = vocals, guitar Paul McCartney = vocals, bass Steve Winwood = vocals, keys Gavin Harrison (Pineapple Thief, Porcupine Tree) = drums

Got his double live album that came out a few years ago. I love how he gives so many of the members of his band the spotlight to solo throughout his songs. A lot of really good solos & jams on that one.

My fave Supergroup is The Winery Dogs! Did you see Mike Portnoy formed a new band recently and they covered Tattoo Vampire? I mean... it's not a GOOD cover, but it exists

I was thinking I’d like to have Geddy Lee on bass, Mike Portnoy on drums, and John Waite on vocals, but not sure how that all would work out. BUT — I still would love to see an album (or at least a tune) with Buck and Eric Johnson playing together.

It would be funny to have a "reality" show where famous artists would HAVE to create something with others that contestants in Fantasy Supergroups would line up.
Of course there'd have to be something in it for the artists to debase and humiliate themselves in the inevitable horrible matchups. Ha!

About 1:20 I'm in there, and then I play along to the out. I couldn't tell listening to it on the computer, so I played it with headphones and I can certainly tell it's you by the soloing style and the tone. However, your solo is competing against too-busy drumming and too-loud rhythm guitar, and it kind of makes it hard to focus on it while you're playing. I like the solo a lot but the vocals and the drums are too obnoxious for me to want to listen again. Sorry

Nick Rhodes didn't know how to play keys. I have a friend that worked in the music biz in the UK and he told me Nick only played with one finger while a hired keyoardist played behind the scenes. on the other hand, while I was thinking the same about John Taylor, he did play a fine bass guitar

He's not a virtuoso by any means but he's a great composer and knows how to provide the perfect parts for the given song.

i know it's now impossible but one of my dream in the 2000 was a YES band with buck dharma jon anderson - vocal buck dharma - guitar /vocal chris squire - bass /vocal bill bruford - drums igor khoroshev - keyboard
for me buck dharma has always had the yes vibe (composition ,song arrangement, harmony vocal , guitar magic ..guitar solo that transport us ) box in my head ,dance of stilt , nightmare epiphany ..etc.. are exemple... but a lot of boc song with eric singing had the yes vibe too. boc is not a rock band but much more
