George is killing these remixes. This one is particularly good. Allen should have sung it on the Columbia recording, he didn't feel up to it. I did ok, but I didn't live Allen's experience, and you hear that when Allen sings it.

Allen's voice sounds amazing in the demo. He should have sung more in the official releases.

I really wish Allen had sung more songs. Between this, True Confessions, Dance the Night Away, and Please Hold, I'm glad we at least have what we've been lucky enough to hear. What an incredible songwriter he was.

Allen is sorely missed. some morons are saying nasty things about him but he was a "feel" guitarist, an accomplished keyboardist and an amazing songwriter. no good words enough for him. love and prayers for the man. like Tenderloin and Celine, this song hides a deep Motown soul/r&b feeling
and possibly his best vocal performance ever

another sad thing is that lack of interest and money prevented Sony from releasing a third batch of remasters featuring bonus tracks. aside from the fact that Cultosaurus and FOUO are great albums, George's youtube releases show a lot of interesting material from those two lesser works, Mirrors and Revolution.
there is still so much interesting material hidden...

“I seem to see a rose I reach out then it goes Now in its thorns I roam The sky is grey and I am cold Lord I tell you, Lord I tell you All I want to do is get back home”
Ok, listened a few more times and have to say this....What a lyric and vibe.
Always loved this. Hearing Allen sing this killer verse in particular after all these years gives me a huge chill in the best of ways. Made my day to hear it.
BTW Buck, Your recorded and live vocals (bb kings) were just awesome. Lucky us now we get treated to both incredible versions of what is one of my favorite BOC songs.

George is killing these remixes. Is there no way BOC can commission GpG to produce, for example, "The Full Tilt Sessions", maybe done in the style of the Rhino "Fun House" Sessions release they did for Iggy...? Much of this stuff deserves a wider audience...

The tapes George has are by right of possession, his. We don't have 'em, nor does any record company. I'm glad George is massaging them with modern tech and making nice videos besides. The small number of superfans like you people can enjoy them.
