Of course we all have heard .. RIP Toby Keith ☹️☹️ One the last real outlaw country stars. I live in Oklahoma so kinda a big thing here. Here's hoping he's now drinking a beer with the horses. 🍺 I'm not a big C&W fan, but he was a big deal around here too. In fact about 10 years ago he sold out our local rodeo concert with $16.8K tickets sold. Around $14K is considered a sell-out at the newest arena in our area. At the time he set the record for the largest rodeo concert attendance since it began in 1950.
Not real familiar with his history, but from everything I've read he was an all-around good guy. Our governor's office made him an "Honorary Texan".

65 years ago today, the music died. RIP Buddy Holly Ritchie Valens Big Bopper My wife and I bought tickets and took my parents to a recreation of the Winter Dance Party these guys did before they died and it was terrific. The impersonators were all approved by the Estates of the deceased musicians. I never realized how many hits Buddy Holly had.

65 years ago today, the music died. RIP Buddy Holly Ritchie Valens Big Bopper It was significant when BOC played the same venue some years ago that those guys played the night the plane crashed. You could imagine how it might have gone down after their show.

Says Buddy, Chuck and Jim Burton were the early players that brought guitar to the front instead of being behind the horns.

A few missed that flight Waylon Jennings for one and Dion stayed back supposedly to do his laundry.
