The Hammond B3 organ is a classic. My Dad had one at our house when I was growing up. He would play it in the evenings after dinner. In the summertime when we had the doors and windows open, the kids on my street would come and sit on our front porch and listen to him play.

My uncle was a traveling musician throughout the 60s and 70s. He played a B3 and we still have it. What I'm told it's unusual because it has twin Leslie speakers.

My Dad's B3 had one Leslie tone cabinet. He sold the B3 and the Leslie cabinet in the 1980's when he and my Mom moved to Florida. Do you ever play your uncle's B3?

Unfortunately no. The B3 hasn't been played in over a Dozen Years and is in storage still wrapped in moving blankets. I would be thrilled to see it go to someone that would give it the love it deserves. It certainly has a rock and roll/R&B history.
