Bloyster, I’d love to see the pic if it’s convenient. I think that would’ve been pretty cool to see. James, I will have to go through many boxes to look for that picture. If I find it I will definitely post it.

I saw BOC in Kalamazoo, MI with UFO as the opener back in 1979 (approx). At the end of UFO’s set they came back out for an encore which was the song, Shoot shoot. To my surprise Buck was included in this encore. It was a great thrill to see 2 of my favorite guitarists, Buck Dharma and Michael Schenker on the same stage together. I have a, not very good, picture that I took of that event. Do you recall if British Lions opened that show (10 Sep 1978) before UFO...? A guy told me it said they were listed as being on the bill in the Kalamazoo Gazette along with UFO, but I couldn't find a copy online to confirm - the "Battle Creek Enquirer" said it was just UFO, as did flyers for the show, and the tickets just said BOC, so I dunno... Duckbarman- I’m pretty sure that British Lions did not play that night. I was excited to see both BOC and UFO that night so I’m pretty sure I got there early enough to make sure I didn’t miss both those bands. British Lions could have been on the bill but might have canceled out.

I always liked the first three Dire Straits records. A combo of the first two (Dire Straits & Communique') which were just the 4-piece band and the third record (Making Movies)that incorporated piano on the tracks, before they fell prey to the whole "more is better" 80's thing where they added keys, sax, percussion, etc. Also dug the first three Crowded House records. I was lucky to see them in Seattle at Bumbershoot on what I think was their first USA tour in 1986. The Finns are a New Zealand/Aussie treasure. Pacnw- I totally agree with you about the first 3 Crowded House albums. I would even go so far as to say their 4th album, Together Alone, is near perfect. The new Crowded House album has 2 of Neil’s sons joining the band. Not a bad album but it doesn’t stand up to the early albums. I might have to listen to it a few more times for it to click.

I love the country album Mark Knopfler made with Emmylou Harris, "All the Roadrunning"
