REM's ode to the Beach Boys. My son is glad I was around to keep him from just listening to boy bands and Maroon5.

Both great bands. It took me a while to get Meshuggah but I got there. Catch Thirty Three is my fave so far. Today, I am listening to a Swedish prog band called Wobbler and their album "Dwellers of the Deep". Imagine YES carried on producing good albums to the standard of their 70s records and you start to get close to Wobbler. YES with a modern twist.

I listened to Alice Cooper's new song 'Rock and Roll'. I didn't like it so I played Brutal Planet really loud to purge the ear drums.

Love Alice, but I agree that his new single didn't click with me this time around. Crank up Brutal Planet, edog!

This album has grown on me. I didn't quite like it the first time I heard it but now, aside from two or three clunkers, I think this album is really good. Especially this title track.

Discovered Frank again after about 40+ years. Incredible guitar player, great Blu Ray.

Of all the 90's bands that popped up I'd say Pearl Jam and The Jayhawks were my two favorites. The slow parts of this song actually remind me of Les and the SWU.

New song i just saw an article about so I gave it a listen and I REALLY like it. Very mellow and pleasing, but also gets some djent in there at the end, too. Generally not a fan of it but it's used to great effect here.... ie sparingly lol

Pearl Jam was the second band I got into after BOC. If I had to rank my favorite bands they'd still be in the top 10 for sure. They've got a never-ending supply of great hooks, that's for sure.
