Any memories from when you toured with Ozzy in '86? It was my first BOC show.

As BOC were a LATE replacement for Metallica on those Ozzy dates - and nobody had bothered to tell the Metallica fans who showed up - I bet some of those memories involved ducking and dodging missiles...
:-(

Wow...didn't know BOC toured with Ozzy in '86. I saw BOC open for KISS in NJ that year; didn't they also open some shows for Rush?

We had heard rumors of either Metallica or BOC, I was prepared for either. The crowd seemed to be into BOC, at least in the area I was in on the floor.

Yup I went to that show and sat thru most of KISS but when they did Zeps Rock N Roll I had it.Had to listen to the KISS fans talking trash after the show too as I bussed it from Manhattan.

The crowd (at least a vocal portion of the crowd) were pissed we weren't Metallica. One thing BOC isn't, and that's Metallica. The other times we played with Ozzy (Spokane WA comes to mind) we were fine, and Ozzy's crowd didn't mind that we weren't Metallica.

Well there was a club in Brooklyn called Banvilles which had probably been a disco in the 70's but by the late 80's they had doo wop groups and for ten bucks so it was a great deal. One Sat night in '89 my friend and I go there thinking we're seeing the Brooklyn group The Passions who had hits in the late 50's/early 60's but they were going to be there the next week.So I ask who's performing and they said Peter Lemongello the guy that sold records on late night tv in the late 70's.Just for the goof we stayed.LOL He was pretty bad and actually insulted one of the girls in the audience.Definitely worth $10.

You've got some bragging rights, having seen Peter Lemongello live!

The band shell, in Boston. Very cool outdoor venue. Very good show dedicated to A.L. just days after his passing. Still hard to believe. Rock on Allen.
