Give us a picture of the statue you got from selling out The Apollo in Glasgow in 78 Buck. Every artist that sold out the venue got a statue. When I spoke to Sandy in BB Kings in 2005 and she recognised my Glaswegian accent, she said she still had that award in the house.

It's a ceramic urn or jug, I've got it in Florida. I'll photograph it when I can.

BD, since the subject matter is tour memories, would you be keen sharing some personal insights as to specifics shows and/or tours that hold special significance to you? Everybody is aware of the high profile ones (Black and Blue, Donnington, Jack Murphy, Allen's last show, etc.), but I would have to believe with all the shows under your belt there are more than a few than you'll forever remember.

Ha, not yet.
I do have containers with ashes of my pets, and one with some ashes of my brother Brian, who died in 2010. I find it comforting to have the ashes with me, in the home. It's like he's still around, in a sense.

My family would always bury our pets in the backyard. I used to make little headstones out of rocks and put flowers on the graves when I still lived on Long Island. It was nice having them there to visit in a way, but I feel bad for the current owners of the house... if they ever dig up the yard they're going to find a lot of cats, dogs, and lizards.

Speaking of great tour memories, anything from San Diego's Jack Murphy Stadium in Aug. of 1979. I was there along with a bazillion other people!

We buried 2 of our dogs in the backyard at my parents' house. It was nice to be able to spend a few moments there, in thought.
When my beloved Casey passed away 2 years ago, I knew I wouldn't bury him in the yard, so we have his ashes in our family room, along with many photos and items of special importance (yet, I've still not been able to bring myself to put together the photo albums and memory book--all of it is just waiting to be done...and I know how difficult it will be for me, probably the reason I've put it off). Some of you might remember the long remembrance of him I wrote at the J&A board a week after he passed.
I will say, though, that when Mom sold her house in 2005, 16 years after our last dog there had passed, it really bothered me that we "left" them there. It just conjured up so many memories, and I was suddenly the little boy again that had lived there all those years.
If that made any sense...

Not a fan on Snakes! Me neither, Harls. We sometimes see a black snake slithering on our lawn. I've been told they are harmless, but I still don't like them. One time there was one on the driveway next door, and a man came by walking his dog. The snake lifted its head and started hissing at the dog and then it slithered away. Yuck!
