EB senses a cross-cultural business opportunity, working feverishly on a crime novel set in Iraq, entitled The Great Sunni Jester. Can I resist the temptation to say that's a Shiite idea... ? Apparently not... BTW: That reminds me - Pat and Steve on Jack & Alma's forum have floated the interesting idea of cross-fertilisation - BOC's people (OK, person) should contact JKR's people and see if she's potentially got any lyrics for a band-author song collaboration (along the lines of The Sun Jester, Veterans and Black Blade)... If she hasn't, then do your own Strike Wotsisname, or even Harry Potter, song - she can't exactly say you can't, given the present circumstances - and try to tap into her fan-base a bit more - after all, she's primed them ready... :-)

All this, and didn't a photo surface in the last year or two of Taylor Swift wearing a BOC shirt? Exposure, baby! Exposure!

OK, time to resurrect this thread in light of the upcoming BBC TV series: Strike - Career of Evil. Many of us are wondering whether this will be a fantastic opportunity to promote BOC music. Seeing as every chapter refers to a BOC lyric in some way and that certain lyrics are fundamental to the story e.g. Mistress of the Salmon Salt (Quicklime Girl), Hot Rails etc, should we expect to hear any BOC during the programme? I really really hope so.

It's already aired in the UK, anybody see it? Don't know how much they paid attention to the BOC angle in the screen adaptation.

So how are us in the states going to see this? I checked out the BBC1 page and it looks like it's a UK only site.. also checked out various alternatives.. none seem legit or reliable.

I'm sure it'll be here eventually. I thought it had aired in the UK, I guess some of the other books have? I know they wrapped it up as far as production a while ago.

I guess some of the other books have? The first two were shown consecutively - the first in three parts, and the second in two parts last September. Musically, both had a consistent sort of haunting main theme at the start which was sometimes reprised as background within the programmes so chances are they'll use that again in the third instalment, so it doesn't seem likely that we'll hear "Career" blasting out over the credits (either start or ending)... - though I'll be very happy be be proven wrong... Anyway, this week BBC4 started showing them again here and that short run is due to finish on Friday, so it can't be long before they show "Career" and we'll finally get to see how much BOC made it into the edit...
